Current Road Projects
January-February 2012 - The Public Works staff is currently conducting our annual assessment of every road in Oconee County. Once the inspections are complete, the data will be processed using a Georgia DOT methodology and a score assigned. The higher the score, the more important that the deficiencies be corrected. Once the scores have been calculated, a detailed cost estimate to repair the top 20 roads is developed. We then attempt to address as many roads appearing in the top 20 as available funding will allow. The proposed calendar year 2012 paving list will be completed by March 1 and posted on this page.
